The idea of the contest is simple, but great. Riders had the chance to apply for the contest and then six had to chance to compete against Ästhetiker hero Steve Gruber. Steve made it pretty hard for himself, picking Austrians finest rookies Roli Scharmer, Michael Stanschitz, Steff Wimmer, Benni Wetscher and Tom Klocker. |

THE VANS PHOTO AWARD HAS ITS WINNER!
This year the Vans Photo Award was voted for the first time. A team, consisting of a photographer and two riders had to get the best picture possible within three days. There were no restrictions made. The two pictures who made it to the final could not have been any more different. Simon Lemmerer, Chris "CK" Kröll and Andreas "Mone" Monsberger picked a brilliant powder shot, putting them in second position, only few points behind winning picture of James Bryant, Stuart Horsham and Mark Ruparelia. In contrast to Simon’s picture, Stuart went into the woods and his crew built up a wooden transition. Creativity and perfect execution assured them EUR 2500 and a new Vans set up for the photographer.

Chill and Surf Poker Turnament
The ChillandSurf Pokertournament at the Waengel Opening Party was a huge success. 3rd place with the Vans package goes to Thomy Haerb, 2nd place Gruba Libre snowboard goes to Mic Dragaschnig and last but definitely not least our first price the 10-Day Chill&Surf holiday including flight goes to Berni Matejka a.k.a the bear hunter.
