It's on when it's on

Welcome People, to another episode of the Wängl Tängl theater in Mayrhofen, Tirol! ‘Shredders for Shredders’ which is decisive for every activity meaning that everything is carried out in respect to the riders. This results in a distinctive rule: ‘it’s on when it’s on’ – which means that there is no time schedule, just a time frame. The contest starts when the conditions are ideal for the competitors, not for media, sponsors or anybody else, as the Vans Penken Park in Mayrhofen is big demanding perfect conditions. Two kickers in a row are the first obstacles that have to be defeated before getting to a key element at the end of the park – the Red Bull Endsection. This obstacle demands special creativity from the riders as something like that can not be found anywhere else and therefore training on this feature is not possible. Additionally it is an eye candy for spectators when 3 riders are spinning through the air simultaneously.

True to the roots

Skateboarding and Snowboarding are related by blood. Therefore a small skate session was always part of every Ä-Jam. Meanwhile the organising committee is stoked to welcome big names from the European Skateboard Scene to Mayrhofen. Especially the international Vans-Skate-Team is known for delivering incredible sessions. Not to forget about the Austrian Skate Pros Chris Pfanner and Philipp Schuster who are regular guests at the WänglTängl. The Skate contest, just like the Snowboard Contest, is carried out in a Team Format where teams consisting of two Skaters are destroying the already known Mega-Miniramp. It is about doing double-tricks and coming up with new ones as such a format is unique worldwide.
