The RHYTHM "GIVE A TRUNK" auction is a Charity Auction for the RHYTHM Broken Bird Foundation, where a 100% of the Auction proceeds will be donated to the good work of Didi Weichselberger in Mayrhofen, Austria ( http://www.didiw.at/pflegestation.html). Didi nurses damaged and injured birds of prey within the region of Tyrol, once totally recovered, then releases them back into the wild.

Both local and international Artists provide an artwork to be transformed into a RHYTHM trunk.

During Wängl-Tängl 2011 ( http://www.aesthetiker.com ), Thursday, March 17, in the Tennishalle Mayrhofen, these trunks can be viewed on the "OPTICAL NIGHT", Art Gallery, and later in the evening auctioned to the guests by RHYTHM. ( http://www.rhythmlivin.com )

The winning Artist/ Trunk will be included in the RHYTHM Europe Summer 2012 Collection. 1% of the net sales of this product will be donated to the RHYTHM Broken Bird Foundation, another 1% will rewarded to the artist.

RHYTHM „Give A Trunk“ Charity Auction

Die RHYTHM "GIVE A TRUNK" CHARITY AUCTION ist eine Wohltätigkeitsveranstaltung für die Broken Bird Foundation von Rhythm.

Die gesamten Einnahmen der Auktion fließen in die Adlerauffangstation von Didi Weichselsberger im Zillertal. (www.didiw.at)

Aus diesem Anlaß stellen 9 Künstler jeweils eines ihrer Kunstwerke zur Verfügung. Diese Werke werden exklusiv als Unikate in eine RHYTHM Trunk (Boardshort) verwandelt. Im Rahmen des Wängl-Tängls 2011 (www.aesthetiker.com/waengl) werden diese am Donnerstag, den 17.03.2011bei der "OPTICAL NIGHT" im Foyer der Tennishalle in Mayrhofen ausgestellt und anschließend versteigert.

Um eine Gewinnertrunk des gesamten Events zu ermitteln findet zum einen im Vorfeld ein Onlinevoting über die Rhythm Facebookfanpage (www.facebook.com/rhythmlivinworld) statt, zum anderen während der Abendveranstaltung ein weiteres Voting der Gäste. Der Gesamtsieger, der aus beiden Votings hervorgeht, wird mit seiner Trunk in die Sommerkollektion 2012 von RHYTHM Europe aufgenommen. Vom Umsatz der Boardshort gehen jeweils 1% des Umsatzes an die Broken Bird Fundation und an den Künstler.

Zum Schluss der Auktion können noch einige Originale der Kunstwerke ersteigert werden.

Modern Art smoothens up the event in a natural way. On the one hand Streetart is part of Boardculture since its existence. On the other hand Graffiti is an element of the HipHop movement. The event is working closely together with Austrian Artists such as Atzgerei and Permanent Unit. Live Paintings, diverse installations and Video-Art can be seen on the mountain as well as in the valley. The Rhythm Give A Trunk Charity Auction is presenting Boardshorts designed by Artists together with the original peaces of art used as reference. The proceeds will be going to the Broken Bird Foundation, which has the aim to settle birds of pray in the local environment. Photography is an Art form that is very close to Boardsports. A classic Photo Exhibition together with a special slideshow will be presented by a few ‘Olddogs’ of the snow business are presenting a special selection of their masterpieces.
