Countdown to the 2nd Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop in the Zillertal Arena

The 2nd Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Tourstop hosted by Blue Tomato is scheduled for 25 and 26 January 2025 at the Actionpark Kreuzwiese in the Zillertal Arena near Zell am Ziller. With its unique combination of internationally recognised snowboard competitions and many side events, the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY has grown into one of the most important junior tours for up-and-coming snowboarders from all over Europe in the last decade. The Uniqueparks team around park designer Manfred Brandacher has once again done a great job and conjured up a versatile setup in the Actionpark Kreuzwiese in the Zillertal Arena. The park is already open and freestyle enthusiasts can hone their tricks every Tuesday from 11.00 am at the free coaching sessions with the Ästhetiker Shred School. On 25 and 26 January, the Actionpark Kreuzwiese will be the venue for the 2nd Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Tourstop 2024/2025. The organisers of the snowboard club ‘die Ästhetiker’ will announce the day of the competition and when the free coaching and style sessions will take place on the Thursday before the event. Plenty of medals, prize money and prizes await the day's winners in all 8 categories, while the best trick from Horsefeathers will be honoured with an additional award. Participants can also win vouchers from Blue Tomato at the Social Media Awards by presenting their best videos from the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY weekend.

 

With the second of four contest results, the cards will be reshuffled in the Zillertal Arena. The snowboarders will receive new points in the overall ranking for their participation. The overall tour winners will be crowned the new Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY royal family after the fourth and final tour stop at the Hintertux Glacier at the beginning of May. Points on the international World Snowboard Point List (WSPL) will also be awarded for participation in the amateur level competitions of the World Snowboard Federation. The tour stop in Zell am Ziller is a recognised ASA (Austrian Snowboard Association) Austria Cup and rookies (U18) collect points in the World Rookie Ranking. No accommodation secured yet? Perfect tour start for the 12th Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY just before Christmas in Zillertal On 21 and 22 December 2024 in the Hochzillertal - Kaltenbach ski region

On 21 December 2024, the Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY hosted by Blue Tomato kicked off its twelfth season in glorious sunshine with the first tour stop in the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski region. The opening event of the popular Ästhetiker Snowboard Tour attracted over a hundred participants from all over Europe to travel to the first holiday region in the Zillertal. With its unique combination of snowboard freestyle coaching, style sessions and internationally recognised snowboard slopestyle competitions, the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY has been established as an important junior tour represents an important springboard for young snowboarders into international professional sport. Perfect start to the season with over 100 participants

It couldn't have been better! Just in time for the 1st Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Tourstop 2024/2025 hosted by Blue Tomato, the Betterpark Hochzillertal shone with its first-class freestyle setup in bright sunshine. Over 100 participants travelled from all over Europe to the first holiday region in the Zillertal for the first VÄLLEY RÄLLEY event of the popular snowboard tour. On Saturday, the conditions were perfect for the snowboard competition in the Olympic ‘Slopestyle’ category. International teams set the bar high in the battle for the first podium places early season. Plenty of medals, prize money and prizes from partners Zillertal.at, Blue Tomato and Horsefeathers awaited the winners of the eight categories,

At the end of an exciting day, Niklas Huber from Team Germany was delighted to take first place in the open class for all male riders. The Spaniard Unai Lopez Sousa caused a sensation with his ‘Backside 1260 Double Cork’ and won the Horsefeathers Best Trick Award. In the ladies' category, it was Austria's Selin Lakatha who was delighted with her gold medal as the best female rider in the Open Women. In the Rookie Boys category (U18), Oliver Šťastný from the Czech Republic dominated the podium in a very strong field. His performance also earned him the silver medal in the overall standings of the open class. Janina Walz from Germany impressed the judges in the Rookie Girls (U18) as the best snowboarder of the day. In the Grom Girls (U16), Marie Kuhlmann from Germany was delighted with her first place, with Adele Vankerschaver from Portugal, tight on her heels, while Gustav Nawarkiewicz-Wiśniewski from Poland won the gold medal in the Grom Boys competition (U16).

 

In the Super Groms (U13), Klaudie Pouchova from Team Czech Republic and Fedde Smith from Team Great Britain climbed to the top of the podium as the day's winners. The 7-year-old newcomer Franz Xaver Hoffmann from Germany was also over the moon with his title as ‘Most impressive Grom of the day’.

 

Martha Schultz from the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski resort is delighted with the successful kick-off event: ‘Thanks to the team of the Ästhetiker. Professionals are at work here! Events of this kind are very important for winter sports and for our kids and young people - they convey the fun of being outdoors and the young people measure their skills together.’

 

The hunt for points has officially begun

The first of four contest results in the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski region marked the start of the hunt for new VÄLLEY RÄLLEY points. The overall tour winners will be crowned the 12th Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY royal family in spring 2025 on the Hintertux Glacier. Points on the international World Snowboard Point List (WSPL) are also awarded for participation and the tour stop counts as the ASA (Austrian Snowboard Association) Austria Cup. All under-18s collected points in the World Rookie Ranking at Betterpark Hochzillertal and can therefore qualify for the World Rookie Tour Finals. Find out more at http://www.powdern.com

 

Style sessions, coaching and fresh new snow to round off a successful weekend

On Sunday, some motivated snowboarders met up for the snowboard coaching and Ästhetiker style sessions at Betterpark Hochzillertal. To round things off, Mother Hulda shook her pillows and delivered a great load of fresh snow to everyone's delight. What a fantastic start to the season!

Shortly before Christmas, the Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY presented by Blue Tomato starts its twelfth season.
Over the past decade, the popular Zillertal Snowboard Tour has established itself as one of the biggest event series for young snowboarders in Europe. With its unique combination of internationally recognised freestyle competitions, free coaching and many side events, the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY will once again provide action in the four best snowparks in the Zillertal this season. Rooted in the Zillertal – recognized all over the world


What began twelve years ago as a local snowboard tour is now one of the leading contest series for young talent on the international snowboard scene. The Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY combines snowboard competitions in the Olympic discipline ‘Slopestyle’ with free freestyle coaching for newcomers and side events in which every snowboarder can take part. The four tour stops in the Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach ski region, in the Zillertal Arena, in Mountopolis Mayrhofen and on the Hintertux Glacier are linked to the international points system of the ‘World Snowboard Point List’. On the hunt for the crown once across all Zillertal snowparks


At each competition, participants also collect valuable points in their own Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY overall tour ranking. And while the best athletes of each tour stop will be honoured with medals, prizes and prize money at the award ceremony, the overall tour winners will be crowned the new ‘Kings and Queens of the Zillertal VÄLLEY’ at the last tour stop on the Hintertux Glacier.

The event series offers young athletes a real springboard into professional sport. It makes me happy every time our participants are represented on the podiums of the world's biggest snowboard events at the Olympics and the Youth Olympic Games,’ says Pia Schroeter from the organisation team of the Ästhetiker Verein, who is delighted with the lasting success of the snowboard tour.

4th tour stop and GRAND Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY FINAL with crowning of the overall tour winners at Betterpark Hintertux on the Hintertux Glacier in Tux-Finkenberg: 27-28 April 2024

On 27 and 28 April 2024, the great Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Tour final hosted by Blue Tomato will take place on Hintertux Glacier in Tux-Finkenberg, Austria and the Betterpark Hintertux will already open its gates for training on the 20th of April 2024. With a unique combination of international snowboard slopestyle competition, coaching and side events, the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY has become one of the leading junior events for snowboarders from all over Europe. In addition to the day's victory, the schedule at the Hintertux Glacier also includes the ceremonial crowning of the overall tour winners as the new Kings and Queens of the Zillertal VÄLLEY.The online registration is open until Thursday, 25 April 2024 at https://valleyralley.at/

 

Preparations for the spring season are in full swing at Betterpark Hintertux. From 20th April on,  the popular XXL setup on Hintertux Glacier will be ready for the first training sessions for the great Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY finals. The programme for the 4th Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop on 27 and 28 April 2024 includes a contest day and a training day with free freestyle coachings and the infamous Ästhetiker Style Session, for which also non-competitors can register free of charge. On the contest day, snowboarders of all age groups will compete in their respective categories. The young talents will present their best freestyle tricks in slopestyle format on the medium line. As at the previous three tour stops, the day's winners will once again receive plenty of medals, prize money and the last VÄLLEY RÄLLEY overall ranking points of the season. The best trick of the day will be rewarded with a prize from Horsefeathers. Depending on the weather conditions, the contest will take place on Saturday or Sunday. The organisers of the Ästhetiker crew will announce the current schedule no later than the Thursday before the event. During the contest, there might be restrictions on the medium line for non-participants.

With the last of four contest results in Hintertux, the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY overall tour winners will  finally be decided. The new Kings and Queens of the VÄLLEY will be crowned the new Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY royal family 2023/2024 after the regular prize giving. By participating on Hintertux Glacier, the snowboarders will also collect points for the international World Snowboard Point List (WSPL). The tour stop is a recognised ASA (Austrian Snowboard Association) Austria Cup and rookies (U18) are credited points in the World Rookie Ranking.

April seine Tore zum Training. Mit ihrer einzigartigen Kombination aus internationalem Snowboard Slopestyle Wettbewerb, Coachings und Side Events zählt die VÄLLEY RÄLLEY heute zu den führenden Nachwuchsevents für Snowboarder aus ganz Europa. Neben dem Tagessieg steht am Hintertuxer Gletscher auch die feierliche Krönung der Gesamttoursieger zu den neuen Kings und Queens of the Zillertal VÄLLEY auf dem Programm. Im Betterpark Hintertux laufen die Vorbereitungen für die Frühjahrssaison auf Hochtouren. Ab dem 20. Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Tourstopps am 27. und 28. April 2024 stehen ein Contesttag und ein Trainingstag mit gratis Freestyle Coachings und der beliebten Ästhetiker Style Session, wofür sich auch Nicht-Wettbewerbsteilnehmer kostenlos anmelden können. Am Contesttag starten Snowboarder sämtlicher Altersklassen in ihrer jeweiligen Kategorie. Die jungen Talente präsentieren ihre besten Freestyle Tricks im Slopestyle Format auf der Medium Line. Auf die Tagessieger warten, wie bei den vorausgegangen drei Tourstopps, wieder jede Menge Medaillen, Preisgeld und die letzten VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Gesamtwertungspunkte der Saison. Der beste Trick des Tages wird von Horsefeathers mit einem Preis belohnt. Je nach Wetterbedingungen findet der Contest am Samstag oder Sonntag statt. Die Ästhetiker geben den aktuellen Zeitplan spätestens am Donnerstag vor der Veranstaltung bekannt. Während des Wettbewerbs kann es für Nicht-Teilnehmer zu Einschränkungen auf der Medium Line kommen.

 

Mit dem letzten von vier Contest-Ergebnissen stehen in Hintertux schließlich auch die VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Gesamttoursieger fest. Die neuen Kings und Queens of the Zillertal VÄLLEY werden nach der regulären Preisverteilung zur neuen Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Königsfamilie 2023/2024 gekrönt. Mit ihrer Teilnahme am Hintertuxer Gletscher sammeln die Snowboarder darüber hinaus Punkte auf der internationalen World Snowboard Point List (WSPL). Happy faces at the 3rd Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop on 9th and 10th of March 2024 at PenkenPark Mountopolis - in the Mayrhofen Hippach holiday region

On March 9th and 10th, the third Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop hosted by Blue Tomato successfully took place at PenkenPark Mountopolis in the Mayrhofen-Hippach holiday region in the Zillertal. With its unique combination of international snowboard slopestyle competition and free freestyle coaching, the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY, one of the leading snowboard freestyle tours for young snowboarders, once again attracted over seventy young snowboarders from all over Europe to the Zillertal.

For the 3rd VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop, the PenkenPark, one of the top 5 snowparks in Europe and "home park" of the Ästhetiker snowboard crew, presented itself in usual with a perfect XXL setup. Due to the weather forecast, the open slopestyle contest was held on Saturday. With bluebird and bright sunshine, over seventy snowboarders from all over Europe put on a top-class freestyle show on the obstacles of the advanced and medium line, while Blue Tomato catered for all participants with free hot dogs, soup and snacks as a reward.

At the end of the day, it was Petr Ershov (RUS) who impressed the judges with another solid performance. He claimed the Horsefeathers Best Trick Award for his "FS 1080 Double Cork Nose" and secured the overall victory as best male rider of the competition in the "Overall Men's" class. Hot on his heels was 14-year-old Dmytro Luchkin (UKR), who took victory in his age group "Grom Boys" and won the silver medal in the "Overall Men's." Among the ladies, it was 11-year-old Adèle Vankerschaver (POR) who was delighted and rewarded as the best female competitor with double victory in the “Super Grom Girls” (U12) and “Open Class Women.”

Team Germany dominated the Rookie (U18) podiums with Janina Walz and Luka Kamissek. Olivie Pouchova (CZE) won the “Grom Girls” (U16) competition, while 9-year-old Riley Sharpe (GBR) was delighted with his first place in the “Super Grom Boys” (U12). Last but not least, 9-year-old Maja Krauerova (CZE) was crowned "Most progressive Grom" by the Ästhetiker judges. On Sunday, the teams from all over Europe took advantage of the first-class setup in the PenkenPark for training, coaching and photo sessions until the “foehn” storm kicked in.

Andreas Pramstraller from the Mayrhofen Cable Car Company is delighted with the successful event: "Over 70 motivated young snowboarders from all over Europe are proof that the Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY has become one of the biggest snowboard tours for upcoming talents in the Alps. The passion for snowboarding and the decades of experience of the event organisers make this event series something very special. The third tour stop in Mayrhofen in the perfectly shaped PenkenPark was another weekend packed with action, airtime and lots of fun! We are already looking forward to next year!"

With the third of four contest results, the cards in the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Overall Ranking were reshuffled in Mayrhofen. The VÄLLEY RÄLLEY overall tour winners will finally be crowned the new Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Royal Family 2024 after the fourth and final tour stop on April 27th and 20th 2024 at the Hintertux Glacier.

By participating in the Mayrhofen Hippach holiday region, the snowboarders also collected valuable points on the international World Snowboard Point List (WSPL), which they can use to qualify for European Cups and World Cups. Rookies (U18) are credited points in the World Rookie Ranking. As the current leading rookies in the VÄLLEY RÄLLEY overall tour ranking after the 3rd tour stop, Kristina Holzfeind (AUT) and Roahan Duncan (GBR) each win a wild card for the World Rookie Finals from 17th to 22nd of March in Kaprun. Viele glückliche Gesichter beim 3. Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Tourstopp am 9. und 10. März 2024 im PenkenPark Mountopolis – in der Ferienregion Mayrhofen Hippach

Am 9. und 10. März ging der dritte Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Tourstopp hosted by Blue Tomato im PenkenPark Mountopolis in der Ferienregion Mayrhofen Hippach erfolgreich über die Bühne. Mit einer einzigartigen Kombination aus internationalem Snowboard Slopestyle Wettbewerb und gratis Freestyle Coachings, lockte die VÄLLEY RÄLLEY als eine der führenden Snowboard-Freestyle-Nachwuchstouren wieder einmal über siebzig junge Snowboarder aus ganz Europa ins Zillertal.

Zum 3. VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Tourstopp präsentierte sich der PenkenPark, einer der Top 5 Snowparks in Europa und „Home Park“ der Ästhetiker Snowboard Crew, in gewohnter Manier mit seinem perfekt präparierten XXL-Setup. Aufgrund der Wettervorhersage wurde der offene Slopestyle Contest bereits am Samstag ausgetragen. Bei strahlendem Sonnenschein lieferten sich über siebzig Snowboarder aus ganz Europa eine Freestyle Show der Extraklasse auf den Hindernissen der Advanced und Medium Line, während Blue Tomato allen Teilnehmern zur Belohnung gratis Hot Dogs, Suppe und Snacks servierte.

Am Ende des Tages war es wieder einmal Petr Ershov (RUS), der mit seiner soliden Performance für Furore sorgte. Für seinen „FS 1080 Double Cork Nose“ bekam er nicht nur den Horsefeathers Best Trick Award verliehen, sondern sicherte sich auch den Gesamtsieg als bester männlicher Fahrer des Wettbewerbs in der „Overall Men´s“ Klasse. Ihm dicht auf den Fersen blieb der 14-jährige Dmytro Luchkin (UKR), der sich in seiner Altersklasse „Grom Boys“ den Sieg holte und die Silbermedaille in der „Overall Men´s“ Klasse gewann. Bei den Ladies war es die 11-jährige Adèle Vankerschaver (POR), die sich als beste weibliche Teilnehmerin über ihren Doppelsieg bei den Super Grom Girls (U12) und in der „Open Class Women“ freute.

Mit Janina Walz und Luka Kamissek dominierte Team Deutschland das Podium der Rookie Klasse (U18). Olivie Pouchova CZE wurde Grom Girls (U16) Siegerin, während sich der 9-jährige Riley Sharpe (GBR) über seinen ersten Platz bei den Super Grom Boys freute. Die ebenfalls 9-jährige Maja Krauerova (CZE) wurde schließlich von den Ästhetikern zum „Most progressive Grom“ gekürt. Am Sonntag nutzten die Teams aus ganz Europa das erstklassige Setup im PenkenPark für Training, Coaching und Photo Sessions, solange es der zunehmende Föhnsturm erlaubte.

Andreas Pramstraller von den Mayrhofner Bergbahnen freut über den erfolgreichen Event: „Über 70 motivierte Starter aus ganz Europa sind der Beweis, dass die Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY eine der größten Snowboard Nachwuchs-Touren im Alpenraum geworden ist. Die Leidenschaft für das Snowboarden und die jahrzehntelange Erfahrung der Ästhetiker im Eventbereich machen diese Eventserie zu etwas ganz Besonderen. Der dritte Tourstop in Mayrhofen im perfekt geshapten PenkenPark war wieder ein Wochenende vollgepackt mit Action, Airtime und jeder Menge Spaß! Die Mayrhofner Bergbahnen freuen sich jetzt schon auf das nächste Jahr!“

Mit dem dritten von vier Contest-Ergebnissen wurden in Mayrhofen die Karten im VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Overall Ranking neu gemischt. Die VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Gesamttoursieger werden schließlich nach dem vierten und letzten Tourstopp am 27. und 28. April am Hintertuxer Gletscher zur neuen Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Königsfamilie 2024 gekrönt.

Mit ihrer Teilnahme in der Ferienregion Mayrhofen-Hippach sammelten die Snowboarder darüber hinaus wertvolle Punkte auf der internationalen World Snowboard Point List (WSPL), womit sie sich für Europacups und Worldcups qualifizieren können. Rookies (U18) bekommen Punkte im World Rookie Ranking gutgeschrieben. Als aktuell führende Rookies der VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Gesamttourwertung nach dem 3. Tourstopp gewinnen Kristina Holzfeind (AUT) und Roahan Duncan (GBR) jeweils eine WildCard für die World Rookie Finals vom 17. bis 22. März in Kaprun. Herzlichen Glückwunsch!
