7. Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY hosted by Blue Tomato & Ride Snowboards with „ a distance“ the best tour finals at Betterpark Hintertux, Hintertux Glacier Tux-Finkenberg, 17th 18th October 2020

The great tour finals of the 7th Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY hosted by Blue Tomato and Ride Snowboards 2019/2020 went down on October 17th and 18th, 2020 at the Betterpark Hintertux on Hintertux Glacier. The 4th snowboarding slopestyle contest of Zillertal´s most popular snowboard series 2019/2020 was not only about medals and day podiums, but also about the crowning of the overall tour winners, the new Kings and Queens of the Zillertal VÄLLEY 2019/2020. Last weekend, the 4th and final Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop 2019/2020 hosted by Blue Tomato und Ride Snowboards took place at the Betterpark Hintertux on Hintertux Glacier. Saturday´s coaching and training dÄy came along with wintery conditions and fresh powder for everyone. On Sunday morning, the  snowpark showed-off with bluebird and sunshine over the large XXL setup, just in time for the snowboard slopestyle contest. Despite Corona, many snowboarders had come to Hintertux Glacier to clear the last tour points at the 4th Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY tour stop 19/20, grab for a medal and a spot on the day´s podium and reach out for the crown and title of the overall tour winner. „With distance“ and best manners, the participants reached deep into their bag of tricks to impress the judges and competitors.

It was Slovenian style machine Naj Mekinc, who finally scored twice. With his BS 1080 double cork, he won the Horsefeathers Best Trick Award and claimed the gold medal in the men´s competition in one go. In the ladies category, Italian newcomer Federica Sola came first and Eva Hanicova from Slovakia took the top spot on the Rookie Girls`podium. Paul Frischhut from Austria won the Grom Boys contest and a very happy Matyas Skandera from Czech Republic found himself on top of the Super Grom Boys podium. In the Super Grom Girls category, it was Shania Colsters from the Netherlands, who went for solid gold and thus took the lead in the tour ranking, claiming the crown as the new Queen oft he VÄLLEY in her category.

Vanessa Volopichova from Team Czech Republic won the Grom Girls contest and got rewarded „Most impressive Grom“ of the dÄy by the Ästhetiker jury. With this result, Vanessa took home two crowns as the new double Queen of the VÄLLEY, claiming the titles of the overall Grom Girls and overall female tour winner.

Jakub Hrones, also from the Czech Republic, dominated the Rookie Boys class of the finals. With his outstanding result, he became the new Rookie Boys and overall male tour winner. Jakub took home two trophies and two crowns as the new King of the Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY 2019/2020 Rookie Boys and Overall Men. „Thanks Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY for the great season! It was one for the books and I think everyone hat a great time. I am so stoked to take the overall win! Thank you and see you next season,“ Jakub smiled.

Mit „Abstand“ bestes Tourfinale im Betterpark Hintertux am Hintertuxer Gletscher

Am 17. Und 18. Oktober 2020 ging das große Tourfinale der 7. Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY 2019/2020 hosted by Blue Tomato und Ride Snowboards im Betterpark Hintertux am Hintertuxer Gletscher über die Bühne. Beim 4. und letzten Slopestyle Wettbewerb der diesjärhigen Zillertaler Snowboard Tour ging es nicht nur um Medaillen, sondern vor allem auch um die Krone! Denn neben dem Tagessieg, stand in Tux-Finkenberg mit dem Tourfinale auch die Krönung der Gesamttoursieger, der neuen Kings und Queens of the VÄLLEY 2019/2020, auf dem Programm. Am vergangenen Wochenende verwandelte sich der Betterpark Hintertux am Hintertuxer Gletscher beim Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Tour Finale 2019/2020 hosted by Blue Tomato und Ride Snowboards zum Schauplatz der Europäischen Snowboard-Nachwuchsszene. Nachdem die Snowboarder am Coaching Tag bei tief winterlichen Bedingungen fleissig trainiert hatten, erstrahlte das XXL Setup am Fuße des Olperers am Sonntag rechtzeitig zum Snowboard Slopestyle Contest unter tiefblauem Himmel im Sonnenschein. Trotz Corona waren viele Snowboarder zum Hintertuxer Gletscher gekommen, um beim 4. Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Tourstopp 2019/2020 die letzten Tourpunkte abzuräumen und eine Medaille auf dem Tagespodium zu gewinnen oder gar nach der Krone des Gesamttoursiegers zu greifen. Mit „Abstand“ und bei bester Manier packten die Teilnehmer tief in ihre Trickkisten, um die Judges und Mitbewerber zu beeindrucken.

Der Slovene Naj Mekinc räumte gleich doppelt ab. Mit einem BS 1080 Double Cork gewann er den Horsefeathers Best Trick Award und sicherte sich gleich auch die Goldmedaille bei den Männern. Bei den Ladies landete die Italienerin Federica Sola auf dem ersten Platz und Eva Hanicova aus der Slowakei wurde Erste bei den Rookie Girls. Im Grom Boys Wettbewerb fuhr der Österreicher Paul Frischhut auf den 1. Platz und Matyáš Skandera aus Tschechien wurde glücklicher Super Grom Boy Tagessieger.

Bei den Super Grom Girls war es die Holländerin Shania Colsters, die am Ende ganz oben auf dem Treppchen stand und sich damit auch die Krone für den Gesamttoursieg als neue Queen of the VÄLLEY in ihrer Kategorie eroberte. Vanessa Volopichova vom Team Czech Republic gewann den Wettbewerb in der Grom Girls Klasse und wurde von den Ästhetiker Judges mit dem „Most impressive Grom“ Award ausgezeichnet.

Mit diesem Ergebnis verdiente sich Vanessa damit auch gleich zweimal die Krone als neue Queen of the VÄLLEY und Overall Siegerin bei den Grom Girls und in der offenen Klasse sämtlicher weiblicher Fahrerinnen.

Jakub Hrones, ebenfalls aus der Tschechischen Republik, dominierte im Tageswettbewerb die Rookie Boys Klasse. Mit seinem herausragenden Ergebnis war er Gesamttoursieger und wurde als bester Overall Fahrer der gesamten Tour 2019/2020 zum zweifachen King of  the VÄLLEY (Rookie Boys und Overall Men) gekrönt. „Ich möchte mich bei der VÄLLEY RÄLLEY für diese Hammer-Saison bedanken. Der letzte Tourstopp hat noch einmal alles übertroffen. Ich glaube, die Teilnehmer hatten bei allen vier Events immer sehr viel Spaß. Ich freue mich riesig über die Krone und meinen Gesamttoursieg. Vielen Dank und bis nächste Saison!“

8. Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY hosted by Blue Tomato & Ride Snowboards tour schedule 2020/2021

In December 2020, the Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY hosted by Blue Tomato and Ride Snowboards will be starting into the 8th round. As every year, the popular snowboard tour attracts many international snowboarders to travel to Zillertal. Under the aegis of the Ästhetiker crew, four tourstops will be on the schedule for 2020/2021. The events will go down in four different Zillertal snowparks, always with one day of coaching and training and a slopestyle competition day. This season´s series will be kicking off just before Christmas with the first tourstop on December 19th and 20th at Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach.

 

Eight years of Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY hosted by Blue Tomato & Ride Snowboard and it goes on! Thanks to the constant support by the Zillertal Tourism GmbH, the Zillertal mountain companies and tourism associations, as well as loyal partners like Blue Tomato, Ride Snowboards, Red Bull, Horsefeathers and Dana Beanies, the popular VÄLLEY RÄLLEY will return to Zillertal in December.

In the past seven years, Zillertal´s famous snowboard tour has evolved into one of Europe´s top events for up-and-coming talents. „With the Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY we are giving young talents the chance to get into professional snowboarding and breathe their first competition air,“ Ästhetiker prÄsident and snowboarding legend Steve Gruber explains. „The unique combination of coaching and contest proved ist success over the past years. Many young athletes use the event series to benchmark themselves against international competitors and push their own levels to higher progression.“

Boardsports fans can look forward to four action-packed weekends in the Zillertal. The latest snowboards and bindings can be tested for free at the Ride Snowboards demo booth at every tourstop.  And while the coaching day stands for freebie freestyle training sessions in small groups and together with snowboard pros, Europe´s rising stars will throw down their best tricks on the competition day to overawe judges, competitors and spectators.  

All four competitions come along with loads of medals, prizes and prize money. And while Ride Snowboards hands out brand-new snowboards to the gold-medalists, second presenting partner Blue Tomato will be organising funny side events and competitions on the coaching day. Horsefeathers deliveres a brand-new outerwear combo for all four Horsefeathers best trick winners.

With every contest result, athletes will accumulate points in the Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY overall ranking. The overall Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY 2021 winners will be rewarded new Royal Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY family at the fourth and final stage on Hintertux Glacier. Riders participating in the tour, will also be collecting points on the International World Snowboard Point List (WSPL) and the points from the first three VÄLLEY RÄLLEY events are further counting for the ASA (Austrian Snowboard Association) Austriacups. With the results from the first three stages, the best man, woman and rookies (U18) qualify for the Austrian Masters Slopestyle Finals. The registration for the last tourstop 2019/2020, that will now take place on October 17th and 18th 2020 at Betterpark Hintertux, will open on October 1st at www.valleyralley.at. It´s understood that the actual safety precautions and conditions will be communicated and complied at all upcoming events. When the maximum number of registrations is reached, the sign-up will be closed immediately. There won´t be any late contest registrations on ground any more. Im Dezember 2020 startet die Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY hosted by Blue Tomato und Ride Snowboards in ihre achte Runde. Alle Jahre wieder lockt die beliebte Snowboard Tour von  Dezember bis April viele internationale Snowboarder ins Zillertal. Unter der Federführung des Snowboardclubs „Die Ästhetiker“ werden insgesamt vier Tourstopps, jeweils mit einem Tag Training und Coaching und einem Wettbewerbstag mit offenem Snowboard Contest im „Slopestyle“ in den unterschiedlichen Zillertaler Snowparks ausgetragen. Die diesjährige Tour startet kurz vor Weihnachten mit dem ersten Tourstopp am 19. Und 20. Dezember 2020 in Hochzillertal-Kaltenbach in die neue Saison.

 

Acht Jahre Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY hosted by Blue Tomato & Ride Snowboard und weiter geht´s! Nachdem das große Finale der aktuellen Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY 2019/2020 hosted by Blue Tomato & Ride Snowboards von April auf Oktober 2020 verschoben wurde, sind nun alle Augen auf den Hintertuxer Gletscher gerichtet. Die Anmeldung für den letzten Tourstopp 2019/2020, der am  17. und 18. Oktober 2020 im Betterpark Hintertux stattfindet, wird ab 1. Oktober unter www.valleyralley.at freigeschaltet. Selbstverständlich werden bei der Durchführung aller Zillertal VÄLLEY RÄLLEY Events die jeweils aktuell erforderlichen Sicherheitsmaßnahmen kommuniziert und eingehalten. Sobald die maximale Teilnehmerzahl erreicht ist, wird die Anmeldung geschlossen. Eine Nachmeldung vor Ort ist nur für das Coaching möglich.
